I founded ExcelCare in 2004 because I recognized a need to create an agency that was not just about staffing, but about relationships and caregiving. Having worked at the patient bedside at various hospitals, I’ve developed a perspective from all angles – the nurse, the patient and the hospital – and I realized something was missing.
Hospitals and nurses are oftentimes at odds with one another and find themselves in confrontational instead of collaborative situations. The patient loses in that scenario. Our goal at ExcelCare is to develop a strong network between the hospitals and communities we serve and the nurses we employ.
By carefully matching the skills, compassion and personality of our nurses to the skill needs and the culture fit of our clients we can help nurses assimilate to the needs of the patients seamlessly. So while the nurse is technically a temporary employee, those observing from the outside will perceive that our nurses are part of a tightly knit team.
Having great skills is a must and a given in the industry we work; however, if that is not coupled with a real and urgent sense of mission, of helping your fellow man, then you are not a complete person. We look for the complete nurse who is going to leave their troubles at the doorstep when they walk into our client’s property.
By creating an atmosphere that nurses can be proud to work in and an agency that clients can depend on, the ultimate winner is the patient who will tell others about their satisfying experience.
